Teaching English in Vietnam

Eligibility

For being eligible to this programme candidates should:

• Be native English speakers;
• Be between 21 and 35 years;
• Have TEFOL or Celta certificate;
• Have a completed university degree.

Teaching experience will be reflected in terms of the contract.

For candidates who would like to apply for an Academic Manager or Coordinator job the requirements are besides the above, the followings:

• DELTA / Masters in TESOL or equivalent;
• 3 years’ teaching experience;
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
• A great deal of enthusiasm and energy;
• Ability to work in a team environment as independently;
• Experience working within reputable language teaching organizations.

How to apply for the programme?

Step 1

Read carefully the programme description and eligibility criteria. Then fill out the online application form and pay the booking fee in order to apply.

Step 2

Global Choices confirms your booking and place on the programme. We appoint a programme coordinator to lead you through the rest of the application process until your are successfully placed.

Step 3

You communicate with your programme coordinator and exchange all necessary documents and forms. Once the placement is confirmed you will need to purchase insurance, pay the remaining program balance together with other fees (if appropriate).

Step 4

Apply for the "F" visa at the Vietnamese consulate in your home country.

Required documents

• Application Form (online);
• Curriculum Vitae in English;
• A copy of your academic degree / diploma / certificate or college transcript;
• Copy of your valid passport;
• 3 passport photos;
• A character reference and a reference from a previous employer. Visa;
• You will also require a medical certificate that states that you are in good health;
• You will need to get medical and travel insurance. This you can purchase through Global Choices, the details of which you can find on our website.

Soon after receiving the above documents and programme fee, we will process your application and find a suitable placement for you.

Work permits and Visa

When working in Vietnam, you are required to have a "F" visa. The easiest way to get an "F" visa is with an invitation letter from school, which we will send to you. Also we will send a letter from Global Choices stating that we are an international placement organization arranging your placement in Vietnam. With these documents and your passport you will need to apply for the visa at the Vietnamese consulate in your home country.
