Housing and meals

Global Choices works to find reasonably priced housing for most participants. In some cases, the Host Company will provide housing. Sometimes you will have to find your own housing. We will try to assist you as much as we can. You should be prepared to pay average of $75 to 125 per week for accommodation. Usually you will be expected to pay a deposit and first month’s rent in advance.

You will usually be responsible for buying and preparing your own food, although in some cases your employer will provide meals. Depending on your preferences, you will be spending $100 - 200 monthly for food.

Placement with Friends

Many participants are interested in sharing the work and travel experience with friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, or a family member. If you want to be placed with someone else:
• You must qualify for all the positions you are requesting;
• Global Choices needs to get the request in a timely manner;
• You must arrive in the US together.
