Internships in Spain

Eligibility

• All applicants must be citizens of an EU country and carry a valid EU passport;
• You must be mature, responsible and willing to gain new experiences while furthering your knowledge;
• You must be 18-30 years old;
• Intermediate or greater level of Spanish is required;
• You must be enrolled in an accredited university or similar college of further education, or be the recipient of a Leonardo da Vinci grant or similar subsidiary scheme to be eligible for a place on this programme.

How to apply for a programme?

Step 1

Read carefully the programme description and eligibility criteria. Then fill out the online application form and pay the booking fee in order to apply.

Step 2

Global Choices confirms your booking and place on the programme. We appoint a programme coordinator to lead you through the rest of the application process until your are successfully placed.

Step 3

You communicate with your programme coordinator and exchange all necessary documents and forms. Once the placement is confirmed you will need to purchase insurance, pay the remaining program balance together with other fees (if appropriate).

Deadlines

In order to process applications, we require that all relevant documentation be submitted at least two months prior to the commencement of the internship (although in certain cases this time period may be reduced). Once the application has been received and checked, it will then be sent to several companies, until a suitable placement is found. Approximately one week before the date of departure the participant will receive confirmation documentation, including details of the placement and accommodation. The placements will be confirmed before the departure.

Required documents

• Curriculum Vitae (in Spanish);
• 4 photos;
• Application form completed in Spanish;
• Photocopies of E-111 or private medical insurance for accidents and medical assistance;
• A placement agreement from the university that will be signed by the company, the student, and the university;
• Medical certificate;
• Photocopy of university enrollment;
• Photocopy of passport;
• Personal statement outlining your interests, personal goals and what you expect to gain from the experience. This statement should also indicate a preference for an area of work and a start/finish date;
• Letter of introduction for the host company.

NB: When the placement is confirmed we will need to receive the agreement signed by your university before you can begin the programme. The process will not begin until all documentation has been received (by email and/or regular mail).
