Work and Travel Spain

If you are dreaming of going to Spain, but have a limited budget – our Work & Travel programme is for you!

We are only accepting applications for jobs starting in March 2008. We do not offer jobs in Spain from November to February due to low season.

Participants can earn a monthly salary of €800– €1300 + tips. Accommodation, rate of pay, working hours and language course options will vary depending on the employer and the location.

Work placement details

Location

A work placement can be arranged for you in Marbella and Puerto Banus and some other areas of Costa Del Sol.

Type of job

All placements are in the hospitality sector. Positions are available in local bars, restaurants and department stores and generally include:

• Waiters/Waitresses;
• Kitchen staff and runners;
• Bar Staff;
• Animators;
• DJ’s;
• Club Public Relations Staff;
• Fast Food restaurant personnel;
• Cashiers;
• Maintenance personnel;
• Electricians.

Duration

The duration of the job placements is from 3-6 months.

The suggested length of stay is 4 months, though you can be placed for two months in the summer (July and August).

The programme runs throughout the year, with peak time being from April-May until the end of September-October.

Working hours

Working hours will be between 40 to 48 hours per week and each participant will have a minimum of one day off per week (usually two days).

Pay

Participants earn a monthly salary of €800 – €1300 + tips. Some employers also provide meals. Rate of pay will vary depending on the employer and location.

Please note: Participants of the “Work & Travel Spain” programme can be placed all over Spain, mainly in the coastal areas. You can make a specific location request, however, a placement of your choice can not be guaranteed.
